| John Skinner says: During seasons 2012 and 2013 I, with the help of my friend Keith Dyer, wrote a weekly programme column for the Newcastle Speedway Matchday Magazine. The idea in the season 2012 programmes was to look back over the history of the sport and highlight some of Newcastle's past. For season 2013 the aim was to produce a series of historical articles on random topics in an entertaining manner. |

| John says: I hope you enjoyed reading my programme column during 2012 and 2013. The promoters were happy to keep my programme feature in 2014 but I declined due to my continuing ill health. However, I would be happy to do some one offs rather than the weekly articles. |
